Grange Park Prep School & Nursery is looking to recruit a Nursery Manager. If you are a great team player with recent experience of working in a Nursery setting and would like to be part of a thriving nursery with a real family feel, make the move to Grange Park Prep.

The Nursery Manager will be influential in the continued growth at Grange Park Prep as we move into an all-year-round nursery. Working alongside the Headteacher, you will be responsible for the development and growth of staff as well as demonstrating excellent childcare practices. Prior managerial or deputy experience is essential for this role, and you will be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the nursery.

We are looking for a fantastic Nursery Manager who can:

  • Demonstrate excellent practice in delivering the early years curriculum.
  • Promote the values of the nursery to all staff, parents, and children.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all staff.
  • Assist with the maintenance of accurate records including occupancy to ensure growth and development.
  • Assist with training and development of staff to fulfil their potential.

The successful Nursery Manager should be passionate about all areas of children’s learning. Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications & experiences:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification in early years; Level 4, 5 or 6 would be desirable.
  • Recent experience within a childcare setting.
  • Great passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Experience of working in a Senior EYP or deputy manager role.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory guidance.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.
  • Ability to deliver a high standard of childcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work productively with children, colleagues, parents, and outside agencies.
  • Excellent planning, organising, and time management skills.
  • A fantastic understanding of how a Nursery works.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively in a team.
