3AS point 6-9 (£19,280 – £20,219 pa actual salary)
31 hours 15 minutes per week term time (8:40am–3:25pm)
Term time only + 5 training days; start date: September 2026

Overview
Grange Academy is a community special academy for pupils aged 7‑16 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including moderate learning difficulties and autism. The school is part of the Multi‑Academy Trust of special schools, BILTT. Due to the expansion of our school, we are looking to appoint a highly motivated person who can support students in learning and personal development.
Qualifications
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children
- Experience delivering structured activities without supervision
- Knowledge of autism, behaviour and SEND needs, or willingness to learn and develop a range of skills and strategies
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to improve pupil confidence, attitudes and resilience
- Capability to build effective relationships with pupils, staff, families and other professionals
- Strong sense of humour and flexible, reliable, resilient, and positive attitude
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills and good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a dedicated team
- Effective organisational skills and a positive outlook
