We are looking for an experienced FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse and production support team in Steeton. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same. You will play a key role supporting production operations, managing stock movements and helping to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently, safely and accurately at all times. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in keeping things organised and can work well both independently and as part of a team.
Your role will include:
- Operating Pivot Steer and Counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently
- Receiving deliveries and locating stock correctly within the warehouse
- Supplying materials to internal production areas
- Recording all stock movements accurately onto the company system
- Ensuring physical stock matches system records
- Supporting deliveries in and out of site
- Maintaining warehouse organisation, cleanliness and site safety standards
- Following company quality procedures, waste and recycling processes
- Assisting with stock takes and general warehouse duties as required
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment
- Valid Pivot Steer and Counterbalance FLT licences
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to respond to changing demands
- Reliable team player with a strong work ethic
- Aware of health & safety procedures within a warehouse environment
