Our client, Grandma Wild s, is an award-winning artisan biscuit and bakery manufacturer founded in 1899. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Baking Innovator/Product Development Specialist to join their team, either full-time or part-time.
Lead Product Development
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated Baking Innovator/Product Development Specialist who enjoys working independently and can take ownership of projects with minimal supervision. The successful Product Development specialist be the driving force behind new product innovation, supporting the business through every stage of development-from idea generation to product launch.
You will be based in our compact, hands-on test kitchen and office, where you will have the space and autonomy to bring ideas to life. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a focused environment and is confident working solo, while also collaborating with wider teams when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the concept-to-launch process, focusing especially on early-stage development
- Research and develop innovative product ideas, drawing on current and emerging food trends
- Organise and support factory trials, ensuring timely and accurate execution
- Complete and maintain process documentation to a high standard
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure our products meet quality and commercial expectations
- Work with technical experts to safeguard the integrity of product ranges
- Operate confidently in a predominantly independent role-taking ownership of day-to-day tasks, managing your own workload, and driving development projects with minimal supervision
About You:
- Passionate about food and innovation
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time and priorities
- Experience in the food industry, ideally with biscuits and bakery (not essential)
