The goal of the Commercial Finance Business Partner is to support the Product Line lead and the Sales team by providing monthly reporting deliverables, forecasting, variance analysis, and the annual budget process. The Finance Business Partner is required to provide strong financial leadership to the business, continually building trust and integrity through the provision of timely, accurate, and insightful information, while demonstrating sound commercial judgement and decisive decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts monthly financial analysis and prepares packs for the Product Line lead and presents performance of business.
  • Regularly reviews revenue forecast, analysing trends in revenue profile (including Technology, Region, Customer).
  • Supports the Global FP&A Controller in developing forward-looking insights, through the monthly forecast cycle and annual budget process.
  • Prepares and presents financial model "what-if" scenarios to support business decision making and performs contract reviews to give financial input around commercial terms and accounting treatment.
  • Co-ordinates with the Financial Control reporting team and the Operations finance team to have an overview of the product line performance and forecasts.
  • Provides insights to link the financial performance with business decisions and strategies.
  • Liaises with Accounting team during month-end close to ensure timely and accurate close process.
  • Utilizes Business Intelligence platforms to develop and maintain efficient reporting working with the global finance team to standardize and share improvements.
  • Works with the Product Line lead and the sales team, oversees, and controls the Product Line annual budget process to ensure delivery within agreed deadlines.
  • Monitors relevant working capital measures and ensures delivering to company targets.
  • Participates in ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements and qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related education is required.
  • Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
  • Proven experience working as a business partner to commercial, sales, or product teams.
  • Experience supporting revenue forecasting, sales performance analysis, and commercial decision-making.
  • Prior exposure to the subsea, energy, oil & gas, or industrial engineering sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience working in international and cross-functional environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, contract reviews, and commercial terms.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with SAP desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of other Reporting Tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Contract & Mobility Requirements
  • This position is a temporary contract of 15 months; candidates must be interested in and available for a fixed-term role.
  • Occasional travel will be required to support business needs.
