Our Islington Square Day Nursery in Islington, part of Grandir UK, is currently looking for an Early Years Teacher to lead practices across the Early Years Foundation Stage and promote excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence and shape the practices in the nursery and share in a collective responsibility for their implementation
  • Be open to opportunities for improvement and encourage staff to make suggestions on nursery practices
  • Support the process of effective assessment, recording and reporting on progress in children’s development and learning
  • Play an active role in identifying and finding ways of meeting the professional development needs of nursery practitioners
  • Co-ordinate and implement agreed programmes and interventions on a day-to-day basis
  • Encourage other practitioners to have high expectations of all children and demonstrate commitment to helping them achieve their full potential
  • Ensure all staff demonstrate the positive values, attitudes and behaviour which are expected from the children

Qualifications:

The candidate must have Qualified Teacher Status, Early Years Professional Status, or be Level 6 Qualified.
