Our Daydream Nursery in Woking is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Casual Worker to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Our Approach: At Daydream Nursery, we follow a child‑led curriculum using In the Moment Planning alongside the Curiosity Approach, encouraging children to explore their own interests and develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Our Location: Situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Horsell Village in Woking, the nursery is conveniently located near the train station and local bus routes, making it ideal for commuting families.

Our Team: Our dedicated and highly qualified team includes a nursery manager, SENCo lead and in‑house chef. Staff are passionate about creating a nurturing environment and supporting each child’s individual development.

Facilities: Set within a converted three‑storey family home, the nursery offers four age‑specific playrooms and a large, enclosed garden. The outdoor space includes a mud kitchen and woodland area used for Forest School sessions, encouraging hands‑on learning and exploration.

Activities: Children enjoy a range of enriching activities including Boogie Mites, Make and Bake, Sow and Grow and Move and Groove, all tailored to children’s interests to support development through play.

Community & Parent Partnership: Strong partnerships with families are at the heart of nursery life. Through a nursery app, stay‑and‑play sessions, a lending library and family events, parents are kept closely involved in their child’s learning journey.

Ofsted: Daydream Day Nursery and Preschool Woking is rated “Good” by Ofsted across all areas, recognising the high-quality care and education provided.

What will you be doing:

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day‑to‑day duties
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
