The Old Barn Day Nursery in Narborough, part of Grandir UK, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery:

The Old Barn Day Nursery is set within a beautifully renovated barn at Copt Oak Court, creating a unique and welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. We are committed to supporting every stage of a child’s development through engaging spaces and enriching experiences.

Our outdoor environment is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of all age groups. Babies benefit from a dedicated garden space where they can explore safely, while our under 2’s area includes tunnels and stimulating resources to encourage curiosity and movement. Older children enjoy a spacious garden designed for adventure, with features such as a climbing frame, ropes, balance activities, and obstacle courses to build confidence and physical skills. The garden also includes a growing area and mud kitchen to inspire creativity and foster a connection with nature.

Location:

Located in Narborough, Leicestershire, our nursery sits at Copt Oak Court in a convenient position next to Tesco Express and directly opposite Red Hill Field Primary School. With a large park just across the road and Narborough Station nearby, the nursery is easily accessible for local and commuting families alike.

What will you be doing:

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
  • Take key carer responsibilities for designated children
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Prepare and support children’s activities
  • In the absence of the Team/Room Leader maintain effective day-to-day management of the environment
  • Contribute to ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Support and mentor students and unqualified staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
