About Our Nursery

Our modern, purpose-built nursery features four large rooms which have been thoughtfully designed to foster growth and development for each age group. The vibrant visual arts studio provides a dedicated space for children to express their creativity and our sensory room is a haven of calm where children can unwind whilst stimulating their senses. To aid in children’s physical development and mental wellbeing, we spend plenty of time in our lovely outdoor space which is an ideal environment for exploration and discovery.

We provide a rich and engaging curriculum which is thoughtfully tailored to each child’s unique learning style and developmental stage. Our unique education programmes – Health & Self, Innovate & Investigate, Move & Groove, Make & Bake, and Sow & Grow – help children become confident, independent learners who are equipped with the positive life skills and important knowledge they need for success at school.

Activities

We offer a diverse variety of activities that engage and stimulate children in exciting ways including Spanish lessons, calming yoga and time in our dedicated visual arts studio. In addition to these structured activities, children have plenty of time for imaginative play using our high-quality resources to explore their interests, indulge their curiosity and develop essential skills to support future learning.

Outings

Children at West Finchley Day Nursery enjoy regular outings into the local area. Visits to the local library, nearby parks and other exciting locations allow children to safely explore.

What you will be doing

  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified practitioners
  • Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment for the children
  • Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and colleagues
  • Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
