Early Learning & Training Partner

Location: Field Based (to cover Bristol & the South West)

Department: Learning & Development

Working pattern: Full-time, field based

Salary: £42,000 per annum plus £4K car allowance = total package £46,000 per annum

Role Purpose

The Early Learning and Training Partner supports nurseries to deliver the highest standards of care, education, and learning, in line with our Quality Strategy. This role nurtures and empowers teams to grow in their early years practice, creating inspiring environments where children can thrive and families feel valued. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance, the ELTP helps ensure each setting achieves Strong and Exceptional outcomes. Through guidance, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence, the Early Learning and Training Partner helps Grandir UK build and sustain its reputation as a trusted leader in early childhood education.

Key Relationships

  • Internal – Nursery Managers, Regional Managers, Nursery Staff, Early Years Team
  • External – Parents, Customers, Regulators, Local Authorities

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Safeguarding compliance in line with EYFS Welfare Requirements and company policies, addressing non-compliance through staff training and development.
  • Partner with Regional Managers to support ‘intensive support’ nurseries, ensuring secure practice during periods of temporary or inconsistent leadership.
  • Support Nursery Managers in developing high-quality education and care to achieve Strong and Exceptional inspection outcomes.
  • Deliver Early Years training programmes, measuring impact and providing coaching, mentoring, and role modelling within nursery rooms.
  • Support staff in creating exceptional learning environments, continuous provision, and engaging teaching opportunities for children.
  • Ensure all staff complete mandatory compliance training in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor SEND support arrangements, ensuring effective provision in line with the company SEND strategy.
  • Attend relevant meetings including Early Years Board meetings, Cluster Meetings, and Divisional Days.
  • Work directly with assigned nurseries to prepare for inspections.
  • Attend and support Ofsted inspections, helping nurseries achieve Secure and Exceptional ratings across all judgement areas.
  • Support nursery leaders in resolving parent concerns relating to children’s education and care when required.
  • Conduct annual Compliance & Regulatory Assessments across assigned nurseries, ensuring completion of all resulting actions.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and produce reports relevant to the role.
  • Keep professional knowledge and compliance training up to date through ongoing Early Years CPD.
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by the Director of Early Years and the Early Learning & Training Lead.
  • Act as a key representative of the support team, promoting company initiatives, values, and standards at all times.

Person Specification

  • Minimum full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare.
  • Proven experience delivering Outstanding practice within the Early Years sector.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to commit to supporting assigned nurseries for a minimum of 12-week blocks.
  • Desirable qualification: EYT, EYPS, or equivalent higher-level Early Years or Teaching qualification.
  • Desirable qualification: Train the Trainer certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the Early Years sector.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise of the Ofsted Inspection Framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and influence senior stakeholders while maintaining productive and supportive relationships.
