On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for physically strong candidates to work as Machine Operators for the production of automotive components. THIS POSITION IS NOT OPEN TO STUDENTS. The successful candidate will have upper body strength and be able to meet the physical demands of the job. The client is prioritising candidates who are seeking long-term employment.
The company offers a clean environment, health & safety focused culture, and paid lunch breaks. The company is not accessible by bus, so your own reliable transportation is required. This is a Full-time position from Monday to Friday.
- Day shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Afternoon shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm + 0. Shift Premium + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Responsibilities:
- Operating various manual and automatic machines to manufacture automotive parts
- Use of simple mathematical calculations to ensure parts are being manufactured with production specifications
- Work with basic hand tools and manual measuring equipment to complete tasks
- Use of torque wrench for assembly
Requirements:
- Upper body strength to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting)
- Able to lift safely
- Committed to good attendance
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and communicate in English
- CSA Safety shoes and safety glasses are a must
- Any other PPE will be supplied
