On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting a great candidate to assist with painting and sandblasting operations. This is a full-time, temporary position (1 month) that primarily involves material handling of large pieces and prepping parts for paint application.
Pay Rate: $/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift: Days: 7:00 am β 3:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Material handling with use of Tow Motor and Overhead Crane
- Sandblast parts to prepare surfaces for painting
- Assist painters with hanging, moving, and staging parts
- Wash and clean parts as required
- Operate manual or electric pallet trucks to move skids and materials
- Support safe operation of paint booth and related equipment
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist with other production tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Overhead Crane and Tow Motor License; experience required.
- Able to wear PPE properly (Respirator)
- Basic knowledge of compressed air, paint guns, and sand blasters
- 2-3 years experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to perform physical work (standing, lifting, bending, reaching)
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
- High School education or GED equivalent
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- CSA Approved Footwear required (not provided)
