With a 125 year history behind it, and a bright future ahead, The Grand Opera House is currently recruiting for a Sound Technician for their busy Technical Team. Our Technicians are responsible for supporting and working with visiting production companies to ensure the delivery of a technical performance of the standard expected at Northern Irelands Premier Theatre. Although multi skilled, our Technicians all have technical specialisms with extensive knowledge and experience and our Sound Technician is an integral part of the team. Candidates must be confident theatre technicians with extensive sound work experience. A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and how it applies to this role is essential, alongside a comprehensive technical understanding and skillset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key as well as the ability to motivate and coach team members. The Grand Opera House team is a hardworking, close-knit team, made up of people with a real passion for live theatre, customer service, and their beautiful and historically rich venue which attracts over 300,000 theatregoers each year.
