About The Role
- Lead structural engineering design and review from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Champion technical quality, innovation and best-practice design standards across projects.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting professional growth and chartership.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as the lead technical contact.
- Provide expert structural engineering advice across diverse sectors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, transportation, geotechnical and environmental specialists.
- Promote and implement BIM workflows and efficiency in structural modelling and documentation.
About You
- Essential: Typically 8 years consultancy experience in UK structural engineering.
- Strong track record of leading complex building and infrastructure-related structural design.
- Proficient with structural analysis and design tools (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD, Robot / similar) and CAD/BIM packages (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership, project management and client engagement experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Desirable: Experience working on large-scale or mixed-use developments.
- Experience within multidisciplinary consultancies.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering structural services for public sector frameworks or repeat-client work.
