Senior Dynamics Developer – the IPO is a modern organisation that relies on its IT services to operate and innovate effectively. This role ensures core applications are reviewed and continually improved, delivering high‑quality services.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, configure, test and document large, complex or mission‑critical applications in a cloud‑first environment using Dynamics and Power Apps in Microsoft Azure.
- Configure and customise both model‑driven and canvas apps.
- Develop Power Automate flows via connectors to Dataverse and other data sources.
- Integrate Power Apps with other Azure components such as Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions.
- Work closely with test engineers to clarify acceptance criteria, the code base and test coverage.
- Collaborate with IT and stakeholders, sharing knowledge and expertise, and act as a role model within the organisation.
- Proactively investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes, evaluate and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify and manage defects, incidents, risks and issues in line with IPO standards.
- Deliver highly user‑focused digital services that adhere to governance standards.
- Assist in implementing toolkits and APIs for integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability.
- Explore innovative solutions and adopt a fail‑fast approach to deliver required functionality.
- Ensure team test and build activities follow agreed governance and processes.
- Apply HMG IA technical security controls according to ISO27001.
Working style
Hybrid working – at least 20% onsite from the Newport office.
