Overview

Your role as a Personal Assistant (Support Worker) with Enable is an important part of our mission to support people with learning disabilities and other support requirements.

You will make a positive difference every day by helping clients achieve their goals and outcomes, providing personal care, moving and handling support, and positive behavioural support while expanding their social networks and connections.

Schedule

Weekdays: 3pm to 10pm plus overnight support – finish at 9am. Weekends and day‑centre holidays: 9am to 10pm plus overnight support – finish at 9am.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to achieve their goals and outcomes, including personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioural support.
  • Expand clients’ social networks and connections.
  • Collaborate with the bespoke team to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.
  • Adapt to flexible staffing needs, such as covering for day‑centre closures.

Lola is a young woman moving into her own home from her family home.

She attends a day centre on weekdays and participates in a variety of activities.

She enjoys walking in her wheelchair and spending time outside.

As a Personal Assistant she will support Lola in maintaining family relationships, encouraging independence, and enjoying her community environment.
