Accountant
Salary: £45,036.00 to £56,295.00 per annum. Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Permanent role based at Link’s Edinburgh office, with hybrid working available.
Role Overview
The Accountant will support a portfolio of subsidiaries and business units within the Link group, working within a team led by a senior accountant.
Key duties include financial reporting, business and strategic planning, budgeting, and generalist financial advice.
The position involves presenting financial information to budget managers and working closely with Finance Business Partners, Assistant Accountants, Finance Officers and budget holders to ensure robust accounting processes and support operational finance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial reports and provide analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasting information and business plans for subsidiaries and business units.
- Deliver generalist financial advice to management and support operational finance functions.
- Present financial information to a varied audience of stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners, Assistant Accountants, Finance Officers and budget holders to understand accounting processes and business plans.
- Participate in the review of financial systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Qualifications
- Part‑qualified accountant with a recognised body (ICAS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and actively studying.
- Proven experience in a financial or management accounting role.
- Advanced IT skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and web‑enabled software tools.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for a diverse audience.
