Business Systems Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Systems Engineer to join a well-established business in the Aberdeen area.
Working as part of a collaborative and experienced Business Systems team, you will play a key role in supporting, enhancing, and developing business-critical systems while contributing to a major ERP upgrade programme.
This is a varied, hands‑on position that combines technical problem-solving with stakeholder engagement, offering exposure to ERP systems, reporting solutions, databases, and wider business improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support, configuration, and enhancement of ERP systems.
- Investigate and resolve business system and reporting issues.
- Develop and improve reports, dashboards, and data analysis solutions.
- Work with databases to maintain data integrity and support business reporting requirements.
- Support system testing, deployments, upgrades, and change management activities.
- Support a range of project activities, including a significant ERP upgrade programme.
Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP systems and supporting business applications within an IT or Business Systems environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exposure to reporting tools, SQL databases, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment and involvement in ERP upgrades or implementations.
- Knowledge of system testing and lifecycle management is advantageous.
