Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Special School in Newport. 12-month contract starting September. The role supports pupils aged 5–18 with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assist with tailored learning activities
  • Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a regulated childcare/education setting OR relevant childcare/education qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Calm, patient, and committed approach
  • SEND experience desirable but not essential
