Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Special School in Newport. 12-month contract starting September. The role supports pupils aged 5–18 with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Responsibilities
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Assist with tailored learning activities
- Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
- Work closely with teachers and support staff
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience in a regulated childcare/education setting OR relevant childcare/education qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Calm, patient, and committed approach
- SEND experience desirable but not essential
