Are you a Data Engineer looking for an opportunity to shape both current Business Intelligence delivery and next‑generation data and AI solutions for the UK government? As Data Engineer you will develop and optimise AWS data pipelines and BI solutions that underpin a modern data platform and emerging AI initiatives. You’ll split your time between supporting existing reporting and analytics and building out new data platform and AI‑driven capabilities.
As such, I am keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS data engineering services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift or Athena.
- Advanced SQL skills for data modelling, transformation and analytics.
- Python experience for data processing and pipeline development.
- Background in data warehousing, analytics or data platform development within BI environments.
- Clear, practical exposure to AI/ML, for example cloud AI services (e.g. AWS Bedrock), AI‑enabled data products, generative AI concepts or ML pipelines.
- Experience delivering AWS‑based data solutions, ideally in complex or regulated settings.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and delivery tooling such as Terraform, APIs or CI/CD.
Salary: GBP 50,000 – 60,000 per year. Experience: 3 months required.
