At Places for People, we hire People, not numbers! We’re looking for a passionate and experienced PfP Thrive Tutor (Housing Professional) to join our Academy team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality Housing Professional qualifications (up to Level 5), supporting both internal and external learners to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the housing sector.
With a strong focus on repairs and maintenance within social housing, you’ll bring learning to life through engaging, practical delivery that enables learners to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. This role will involve mainly working from home but will also include occasional travel to multiple locations across the UK, so a full, clean driving licence is essential. You will be entitled to an allowance to contribute to the upkeep of your vehicle, and it is possible to claim back mileage.
Essential criteria:
- Level 5 Housing qualification or significant senior-level experience in the housing sector
- Strong knowledge of repairs and maintenance within social housing, including legislation and compliance
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering training or facilitating groups
More about you:
- You may have a background in coaching and training, supporting or leading on developing presentations, communication, and creating materials like PowerPoint slides and progress reports.
- Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build effective relationships across various levels.
- Ideally, you have experience in people management, lesson planning, and IT software.
- You should hold or be willing to work towards qualifications in education and assessment (A1/TAQA/CAVA) (AET).
