Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division - a new era of mobile repair. Competitive base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings up to £52,000. Guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities. 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and one Saturday every four weeks.
The Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division delivers planned, structured repair and servicing directly to members—from driveway to workplace car park. No emergency callouts or unpredictable shift patterns; you work a scheduled list of jobs with the time, tools and support needed for quality work.
You’ll be part of the Newcastle cluster, covering Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Shields, South Shields, Wallsend, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Cramlington, and Morpeth. You’ll operate in your local area on a clearly planned schedule, with no reactive callouts.

- Minimum two years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
