The role leads key global finance operational services within Business Service Central (BSC), Ashurst Perkins Coie global business services function.
The role is responsible for leading the global Accounts Payable and Cash & Banking teams through a number of direct leadership reports, with an overall team size of approximately 21 colleagues across the UK and Australia.
Working closely with the Director – BSC Finance and wider Finance leadership team, the role will support the continued development of scalable, efficient and well‑controlled finance operations aligned to the firm’s global operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global Accounts Payable and Cash & Banking teams and oversee approximately 21 colleagues across the UK and Australia.
- Work closely with the Director – BSC Finance and wider Finance leadership to develop scalable, efficient, and well‑controlled finance operations aligned to the firm’s global operating model.
- Drive operational excellence, process simplification, service alignment and continuous improvement across finance operations.
- Develop consistent global operational standards, controls, and governance for Cash & Banking activities.
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of finance operational records and reconciliations.
- Review and follow up unallocated credit card transactions.
- Deliver high‑volume global finance operational services across multiple regions and jurisdictions.
- Support the continued development and embedding of BSC Finance operating models and ways of working.
- Provide leadership to the global BSC Finance team, ensuring engagement and alignment with the firm’s objectives.
- Lead finance operational projects relating to systems enhancement, process improvement and service alignment initiatives.
- Drive process improvements across cashiering, accounts payable, and finance operations.
- Support identification and transition of appropriate operational services into BSC Finance.
Qualifications
- Full‑time, permanent position based in Glasgow office with hybrid working.
