Join our dedicated catering team and play a key role in delivering a warm, welcoming, and high-quality service to our customers. As a Catering Assistant, you will work efficiently to support daily food preparation, serve meals and beverages, and help maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment. Your positive attitude and commitment to great customer service will make a real difference in our busy setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Support daily food preparation and serve food and drinks to customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment.
Qualifications & attributes:
- Communicates clearly and confidently.
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Understands customer needs and current food trends.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Brings experience of customer service, with some exposure to till or cash handling.
- Experience within a catering environment is desirable, and holding an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme before starting. This will be arranged by North Lanarkshire Council.
Work Pattern:
25 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 14:30 (30‑minute unpaid break).

Salary: NLC3 £27,455 – £28,533 (Pro Rata)
