We are seeking a skilled and creative Training Designer to develop engaging, effective, and high-quality learning solutions. This role involves analysing training needs, designing instructional materials, and supporting the delivery of training programmes that enhance learner performance and capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training solutions aligned to organisational goals and learner needs
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and skill gaps
- Create instructional materials, including e-learning modules, classroom content, and blended learning programmes
- Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) to ensure effective learning outcomes
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and validate training materials
- Develop assessments and evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness
- Ensure all learning content meets quality, accessibility, and compliance standards
- Maintain and update existing training materials to reflect changes in processes or technology
- Support the delivery and facilitation of training where required
- Use learning technologies and authoring tools to produce high-quality content
Skills & Experience
- Experience in instructional design, learning and development, or training design
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks
- Experience developing digital learning content (e-learning, multimedia, or virtual training)
- Proficiency in learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate, or similar)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning materials
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Relevant professional certification (e.g. CIPD, ATD) is desirable
Desirable
- Experience working in a technical, engineering, or regulated environment
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with data analysis to evaluate learning effectiveness
