This role combines the responsibilities of an Electrical Supervisor and Qualified Supervisor (QS), with accountability for electrical compliance across the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). The successful candidate will lead on technical assurance, inspection regimes, certification, and regulatory adherence, ensuring all electrical works meet BS 7671 and organisational standards while supporting efficiency and operative performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the organisation’s Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC)
- Oversee electrical compliance across all DLO activities
- Conduct inspections, audits and quality assurance checks
- Ensure adherence to BS 7671, statutory regulations and internal policies
- Manage electrical certification and compliance records
- Support and mentor electricians and supervisors to improve standards
- Identify trends, risks, CPD and areas for improvement in service delivery
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (including AM2) or equivalent
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 / 2394 & 2395 or equivalent)
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, QS (NICEIC or equivalent), compliance experience
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Strong knowledge of electrical certification, inspection & testing, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working within social housing, maintenance or DLO environment
- Experience with NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to challenge non‑compliance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
