Experian Global Security Office is looking for a Data Engineer responsible for quality delivery of analytic data services. The role focuses on developing, automating and building transformation routines to support the Security Metrics function, delivering security analytics to internal business. The engineer will apply policies and business rules ensuring point‑in‑time and trending data is available for reporting.

Responsibilities include securing storage, query, protection and use of data, meeting availability levels, implementing error detection, data quality checks, performance management and operational error alerting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and run extract, transform, load (ETL) processes to bring in data from security tooling and other corporate data sources into a standardized and normalized data structure using tools such as Python, Alteryx, AWS Glue, SQL for Security Metrics.
  • Develop data pipelines, data warehouses and reporting frameworks.
  • Use query languages such as SQL to provide information for security metrics and reporting.
  • Manage data infrastructure requirements and data formats (e.g. JSON, XML, CSV) and connectivity (e.g. SQL queries and stored procedures).

Qualifications:

  • Python for data transformation and task automation.
  • AWS Glue, Athena, AWS RDS, MS SQL and Cloud Native Data Management.
  • Experience with AI in Security functions.
  • Understanding of common BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Excel (can perform complex functions).
  • Working knowledge of ITIL incident management, service‑level management, change management, release management and availability management for databases and data management systems.
