Senior Internal Auditor – Clackmannanshire Council
The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for managing and delivering a programme of Internal Audit assignments for a range of clients, derived from an agreed Annual Internal Audit Plan.
They will assign, manage, and supervise the work undertaken by the Internal Auditor(s).
The role requires fostering and encouraging a culture of high quality customer service, corporate working and continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver internal audit programmes for multiple clients.
- Assign, manage, and supervise the work of internal auditors.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans.
- Review or design effective systems to support governance, monitoring, and control.
- Support a flexible hybrid working approach while maintaining necessary office attendance to build team and stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in internal audit.
- Experience managing an Internal Audit team or function.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into effective audit plans.
- Strong knowledge of systems that support governance, monitoring, and control.
