Role Overview
We are seeking x6 high-calibre Business Analysts and Project Managers to join our specialist consultancy supporting Insurance and Reinsurance clients across London Market, Commercial, Specialty, and Global carriers. These roles will deliver change, transformation, regulatory uplift, and operational improvement across underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, operations, and technology functions.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape requirements, drive delivery, and ensure successful outcomes across complex, multi-entity programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support business analysis activities including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and documentation across underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, and operations.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery including planning, RAID management, governance reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support transformation initiatives across policy admin systems, claims platforms, finance systems, data & MI, and regulatory change.
- Facilitate workshops, produce high-quality artefacts (BRDs, FRDs, process maps, TOM designs), and ensure alignment with business and technical teams.
- Drive delivery across cross-functional teams including Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, Operations, IT, and Data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations (PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s) and support audit readiness.
- Contribute to consultancy best practice, client engagement, and continuous improvement.
Industry-Specific SME Skills (Insurance & Reinsurance)
- London Market processes – Delegated Authority, Bordereaux, Premium & Claims workflows, Coverholder management, Lloyd’s reporting.
- Underwriting & Policy Administration – exposure management, pricing workflows, risk capture, product governance.
- Claims Operations – FNOL, reserving, recoveries, subrogation, complex claims handling, TPAs.
- Reinsurance – treaty & facultative structures, ceded & assumed workflows, technical accounting, outward reinsurance processes.
- Regulatory & Reporting – Solvency II, IFRS 17, Lloyd’s returns, conduct risk, operational resilience.
- Finance & Actuarial – technical accounting, reconciliations, actuarial data requirements, reserving cycles.
- Data & MI – data lineage, data quality, MI dashboards, reporting automation, data governance.
- Systems & Platforms – Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, ECF/ECF2, Workday, SunSystems, bespoke carrier platforms.
- Experience with reinsurance administration systems (e.g., Sequel Eclipse, Xuber/Majesco, or similar).
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager within Insurance, Reinsurance, London Market.
- Strong understanding of insurance operations, processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience delivering change across systems, data, finance, underwriting, or claims.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, client-facing consultancy environments.
- Strong documentation, governance, and delivery discipline.
Preferred Certifications
- ACII or progress toward ACII
- Prince2 / Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner)
- Lean Six Sigma (desirable)
