As an Associate Lead QA Analyst you will be responsible for owning the test strategy for game features within one of our cross-discipline pods. You will analyse what needs to be tested, write and run tests as well as log bugs and report your work to your team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end test strategy for large and complex features independently, proactively seeking support where necessary.

  • Inspect designs, concepts, wireframes and code to analyse test requirements and risks for both tech-driven and design-driven features.
  • Review test plans created by other members of the QA team.
  • Use a range of public and internal tools to perform grey-box testing.
  • Demonstrate an ability to balance priorities of planned feature work with reactive live game issues and events.
  • Identify problems with designs, schedules and plans to prevent bugs from occurring before they are written into code.
  • Communicate test details and risks to stakeholders using language that they can understand and digest.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in game testing.
  • Proven experience working within a game studio as part of a cross-discipline embedded QA team.
  • Proficient in mobile device testing with an understanding of the bug patterns and techniques unique to the platform.
  • Experience testing games-as-a-service projects using remote data tools, balancing feature work against reactive live issues and prioritising work.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with a focus on self-awareness, self-evaluation and an ability to empathise with the goals and perspectives of other functions.
  • Experience testing projects built with Unity with demonstrable Unity development skills and Editor knowledge also strongly preferred.
  • Experience of technical areas and tooling when testing on mobile: Network tools, performance tools, analytics tools, API test tooling.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and branching strategies as well as how they influence test activities throughout the pipeline.
  • An ISTQB Foundation certificate or equivalent.

Bonus:

  • Demonstrable examples of personal game projects built in Unity with C#.
  • ISTQB advanced or specialist level certificates or equivalents.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Game Design or related field.

Benefits:

  • Highly competitive salary.
  • Private medical care.
  • Company bonus scheme.
  • Awesome onsite chef serving breakfast, lunch and lots of treats (naughty and nice).
  • Life insurance and a favourable pension scheme.
  • Healthcare cash plan including dental and optical coverage.
  • Amazing tech to work with and consoles to play and relax with everywhere you look!
