Work Location Type: Hybrid

Compensation: The base salary for this role ranges between $100,000 - $130,000, with eligibility for an incentive target of 15% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills.

Position Details: As Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Talent Acquisition strategy for field, corporate, and operational excellence functions with Grainger Canada. You will drive the definition and adoption of key processes and tools, ensuring strong execution that delivers diverse, high‑quality hires and builds a robust talent pipeline. You will partner with senior leadership to align recruiting efforts with strategic business objectives, bringing thought leadership and market insights to optimize sourcing strategies. You will manage a high‑performing Talent Acquisition team and oversee critical projects that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and continuously improve recruitment practices.

You Will:

  • Build a high‑performance, engaged, and agile Talent Acquisition team (2‑5) by providing timely coaching, constructive feedback, and developmental stretch assignments to strengthen capability and adaptability for evolving business needs.
  • Drive adoption of key processes and tools through structured monthly and quarterly metric reviews, ensuring consistent execution and enabling data‑driven improvements that enhance hiring efficiency.
  • Develop creative recruiting methods by leveraging market trends and innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent while reducing reliance on contingency and retained search firms, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and value.
  • Establish and monitor key processes and metrics to measure staffing success and cost‑to‑serve, proactively identifying and addressing breakdowns to maintain operational excellence and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Design, communicate, and execute recruitment strategies in partnership with business and HR leaders to align talent acquisition efforts with organizational goals, ensuring strategic impact and workforce readiness.
  • Provide thought leadership on talent market trends and share best practices in sourcing and recruiting tools to strengthen business capability and maintain competitive advantage in attracting top talent.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align talent acquisition solutions with strategic initiatives, ensuring the organization meets growth objectives through effective workforce planning and execution.
  • Lead and manage critical projects by creating standard work, processes, and tools that accelerate hiring speed, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement in Talent Acquisition practices.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in HR/Talent Acquisition with experience in a large, complex, global and geographically-dispersed organization.
  • 5+ years previous consulting experience in providing strategic recommendations to both corporate and field clients; demonstrated track record of influencing and advising at all levels.
  • Up to 25% travel.
  • Demonstrated analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills to interpret complex data, draw valid conclusions, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and learning agility by staying current on talent acquisition trends, understanding functional needs, and introducing best practices.
