Manufacturing Engineer

The postholder will be responsible for:

1. Manufacturing process planning
2. CNC offline program creation
3. Training and instruction of others in offline programming
4. CNC cutting tool selection and procurement
5. Fixture design and procurement when appropriate
6. Customer liaison on design for manufacture and general technical issues
7. Data control, route cards, drawing control, program storage and management
8. Introduce and progress New Products through the shop
9. Liaise with suppliers for sub-contract processing
10. Support costing of new work
11. Setting and operation of CNC machines for the prove out process of new products
12. Any other duties commensurate with the position as requested

The successful candidate will need:

1. Experience in all aspects of the above responsibilities
2. Experience and knowledge of CAD/CAM
3. In-depth knowledge of online ISO programming
4. In-depth knowledge of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and practices
5. A good understanding of CMM inspection methods
6. Self-motivation and discipline
7. Confident communication skills
8. Able to motivate others

11. Solution provider and good researcher
12. Flexibility in working hours and breaks to suit workload
