About The Role: As a Casting Technician, you’ll support our Engineering and Production teams in preparing and controlling the metal casting process. You’ll ensure materials meet specification, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and controlling metal casting processes to meet production schedules.
- Performing checks to ensure material quality and specification compliance.
- Managing the casting area for efficient workflow.
- Supporting sampling and production activities for repeatable processes.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Implementing safe working practices in a high‑temperature environment.
- Assisting with audits and process improvements.
Who We’re Looking For: You’ll bring experience and a proactive approach to working in a technical environment. Essential skills include:
- Experience of foundry processes and ideally automotive quality standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Manual handling and HSE awareness training.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Crane slinger, bobcat or overhead crane training (or willingness to train).
- Ability to travel to site.
