The Finance Apprentice works with colleagues across Grainger’s Group Reporting and Operational Finance teams. The role assists the preparation of monthly management accounts, consolidated financial information and half-year and year-end reporting. The role also assists with data transformation initiatives and the preparation of KPI metric reporting to support business performance monitoring.
Working closely with the Group Reporting Accountant and wider Finance teams, the role will develop core accounting skills through hands-on experience in a highly supportive environment offering excellent opportunities for professional growth, learning and career development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Prepare consolidated financial information for reporting.
- Support half-year and year-end reporting processes.
- Assist with data transformation initiatives.
- Prepare KPI metric reporting to support business performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Availability to undertake an 18-month apprenticeship program.
- Willingness to work in Newcastle Head Office and one day per week off site at an apprenticeship provider.
