About this role:
Reporting to the Construction Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with analysis and key supporting activities that relate to the ongoing fibre network build Grain is currently undergoing. You will also assist with accounts and invoicing. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further a career in construction operations, in which on-the-job experience will be gained with one of the fastest growing alternative broadband providers in the UK.
Main responsibilities:
- Creation of fibre plans / designs.
- Production of construction contracts for the ongoing network build.
- Review of in-flight construction projects to identify bottlenecks.
- Any other ad hoc analysis required, with regards to the network build.
Other responsibilities:
- Working with civils contractors and contract managers to verify the accuracy of invoices.
- Reviewing purchase invoices to ensure that CIS, retentions and VAT have been applied correctly.
- Creation of recharges, pay less notices and payment notices.
- Reconciliation tasks linked to build completion and retention.
Working hours:
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Experience required:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A strong attention to detail.
- IT literate with good ability using Microsoft Excel or willingness to invest time learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
