About this role
We are looking for a customer focussed, motivated individual for a role as a Billing and Collections Advisor to support Grain’s customer experience. As well as contacting customers on the telephone to collect outstanding payments, you will manage the billing aspect of customer accounts and follow our debt process to support customers to continue accessing our service.
You will have excellent customer facing skills, particularly with customers who may have fallen behind on payments. You will need to use your fantastic customer service skills and problem solving to reach an outcome that keeps our customers connected and reduces the risk of failed payments and terminated accounts.
You will also work with our revenue team to apply monthly offers to customer records, reconcile accounts and check credits have been applied correctly. This role will play a key part in the success of the Grain billing team, and accuracy and the ability to multitask is essential.
Main responsibilities
- Monitoring customer accounts to identify overdue payments
- Keeping accurate records and reporting on collection activity
- Outbound and Inbound contact to customers to collect payments and ensure payment method is up to date
- Understanding and explaining customer sales offers and discounts
- Assigning overdue payments to ensure balances are correct
- Checking credit applied to accounts are correct
- Assisting with revenue assurance checks
- Spot trends on accounts to identify areas for improvement and limit risk
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues
- Process payments on our CRM
Working hours
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
- Experience and knowledge of MS Office
- Comfortable working with targets
