As a Post Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the team and ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient running of the branch. You’ll oversee all aspects of Post Office operations, from delivering excellent customer service to meeting compliance standards and managing financial accuracy. You’ll motivate and support your team to provide a first‑class service to every customer, while driving the overall success of the branch.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, managing, and developing the Post Office team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Overseeing the full range of Post Office services including mails, parcels, banking, travel money, identity services, savings products, and vehicle licensing.
- Ensuring full compliance with Post Office policies, audits, and security requirements.
- Managing branch performance, financial controls, and daily reconciliations.
- Monitoring transactions for accuracy and addressing discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- Handling escalated customer queries and providing solutions.
- Keeping up to date with new products, services, and system updates, and ensuring staff training is completed.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and Post Office Ltd.
- Reporting issues, risks, or compliance breaches promptly and taking corrective action.
