About The Role
GRAHAM is currently seeking an experienced Wheeled Excavator Operator to support our growing operations across major infrastructure and construction projects, based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of wheeled excavators in a range of environments, including highways, urban projects, and large-scale civil engineering works. You will play a key role in ensuring work is completed to a high standard while maintaining strict health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Operate a wheeled excavator safely and efficiently in line with site requirements
- Carry out tasks such as excavation, trenching, lifting, grading, and material handling
- Work in confined or high-traffic environments, including highways and urban areas
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance inspections on equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety regulations and method statements
- Communicate effectively with banksmen, site supervisors, and other operators
- Follow instructions from site management while maintaining awareness of changing site conditions
- Report any defects, incidents, or near misses promptly
- Assist with general site duties where required
