We are looking to add an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Quality Engineer to provide quality assurance support to the Site Management teams on our Northern Ireland based projects. We welcome applications from experienced Quality Assurance Engineers or Civil Engineers seeking a new challenge; graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential to plan and prioritise workload. This role may require presence on other UK wide sites, so willingness to travel is necessary. Candidates with a Civil Engineer/Construction related degree and recognised Quality Management qualifications will be held in high regard.
Job Specifics:
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site.
- Coordinate quality inspections with all site sub-contractors and vendors.
- Coordinate all non-destructive testing on site.
- Coordinate with the client's representative on all quality matters.
- Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
- Verify that quality related site activities comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in internal and external site audits.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled for as-built handover to client.
- Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.
- Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.
- Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
- Complete and coordinate the approval of the site's QC technical submittals to the customer.
- Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues.
- Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with project subcontractors' QC personnel.
- Elaborate inspection and test programme.
- Ensure all technical documents related to site quality control are current.
