An established and growing facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join its commercial maintenance team. The successful candidate will work across a range of commercial water hygiene contracts, carrying out legionella control and water hygiene tasks on both mains-fed and stored hot and cold water systems. The role also includes minor plumbing works where required and offers a varied workload across multiple client sites.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out water temperature monitoring and water sampling in accordance with current legislation and guidance.
- Conduct cold water storage tank inspections, cleaning and disinfection.
- Clean and descale showers and other water outlets.
- Service Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
- Undertake minor plumbing repairs and remedial works as required.
- Complete service reports accurately on the same day using a handheld PDA or mobile device.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
- Work independently and as part of a wider team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
