A leading charitable Housing Association is seeking a Multi Trade Carpenter to join their responsive maintenance team in Redhill, Surrey. About the role:

You will be responsible for carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across a portfolio of domestic properties, delivering a high-quality, efficient, and professional service to residents.

Key responsibilities:
  • Carry out a wide range of carpentry works, including doors, locks, frames, skirting, kitchens, flooring.
  • Complete additional multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing repairs, patch plastering, tiling, minor decorating, and general maintenance.
  • Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests in occupied social housing properties.
  • Accurately diagnose faults and complete repairs on a “right first time” basis.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety legislation, compliance standards, and organisational procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and respectful approach at all times.
  • Use handheld devices to record job updates, materials used, and completion details.

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in responsive maintenance within social housing, domestic properties, or similar environments.
  • Strong multi-trade skills alongside your carpentry background.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage your own workload.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
