A leading charitable Housing Association in Redhill, Surrey is seeking a Disrepair & Surveying Manager to manage the effective delivery of complex and escalated repairs projects.
Duties for the role include:
- Leading and managing a team of inspectors and surveyors, ensuring close liaison between office-based staff and mobile trades teams.
- Controlling and reporting on a £2m budget.
- Managing a small team of inspectors, providing leadership to ensure staff development and a strong culture of respect, performance, and productivity.
- Ensuring the delivery of appropriate surveying, inspection, and remedial works, including preventative inspections.
- Consulting with service users (tenants and leaseholders) about proposed works and maintaining engagement throughout the process.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to communicate repairs performance and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Supporting the complaints procedure and investigating and resolving complaints.
- Ensuring quality pre and post inspections are carried out by the team.
- Collaborating with surveyors and the Asset Manager to deliver a full range of surveying duties.
- Managing the damp and mould process, ensuring correct diagnosis before remedial works.

- CIOB or BSc in Building Surveying, HNC/HND, RICS formal qualification, or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience of the Construction or Maintenance Industry.
- Contract and financial management skills.
- Relevant technical qualifications or ability to progress via CPD.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety and CDM regulations.
- Project management, financial, and commercial understanding.
- Proactive approach to resolving technical and people issues.
- Ability to advise trade staff and contractors on technical repair solutions.
- Ability to analyse data to formulate improvement plans.
