The primary duties of the Site Manager in Oxfordshire include
- Collaborate with Building Projects and Contracts Managers to plan resource requirements well in advance to ensure efficient purchasing & sub-letting
- With the Contracts Manager produce a target programme, preliminary and plant schedule.
- Co-ordinate staff, sub-contractors, material suppliers and others on site to ensure an efficient method of build to the required quality and programme.
- Schedule work to be carried out to ensure budget & production targets are achieved and high quality of product is maintained.
- Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with all appropriate health and safety legislation, codes of practice and ISO45001 safety system.
- Complete all start up procedures regarding safety, site establishment, notices, dilapidations schedules, administrative support, equipment etc
- Administer all incoming and outgoing information including drawing register, site records, maintenance manuals & archiving
- Carry out regular site safety, quality checks, inspections & near miss and incident reporting.
The successful candidate for the role of Site Manager in Oxfordshire should have the following qualifications and experience: Essential
- Construction Related Qualification (SMSTS minimum)
- Knowledge of Refurbishment and Construction systems and processes
- Knowledge of Refurbishment and Construction Health & Safety/CDM legislation
- Experience in Managing Refurbishment & Construction Projects on site Desirable
- Experience in working on historic refurbishment projects
- Experience in working on publicly & privately owned / accessed buildings Benefits include
