An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrician / Solar PV Installer to join a well-established organisation delivering electrical and renewable energy projects across domestic and commercial properties.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with strong Solar PV experience who is looking to work on a varied portfolio of renewable energy and electrical installation projects while developing their career within a growing sector.
The Role
- Installing, commissioning and maintaining domestic and commercial Solar PV systems
- Carrying out electrical energy storage system (battery) installations
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on Solar PV and electrical systems
- Completing electrical installations, rewires, remedial works and maintenance
- Inspection, testing and verification of electrical installations
- Ensuring all work complies with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and health and safety legislation
- Participating in a standby call-out rota Requirements Applicants should have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- BPEC or City & Guilds qualifications in Solar PV and Electrical Energy Storage Systems
- Proven experience installing Solar PV systems within domestic and commercial environments
- Strong experience in electrical installation, fault finding, inspection, testing and rewiring
- Good working knowledge of BS7671 and current electrical regulations
- A recognised electrical apprenticeship
- Full UK Driving Licence Desirable
- City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing
- NICEIC certification experience
- Experience measuring and specifying small electrical works
