An established social housing provider is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Surveyor to oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance and property inspections across its housing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveying professional who enjoys a varied role, combining technical expertise, contractor management and customer engagement.
Working closely with internal teams and external contractors, the successful candidate will help ensure homes are maintained to a high standard, delivering safe, compliant and cost-effective repair solutions.
The Role
The successful candidate will carry out property inspections, diagnose building defects, prepare specifications, estimate repair costs and manage repairs through to completion. They will supervise contractors, certify completed works, monitor quality and ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards. The role also includes supporting void property inspections, responding to disrepair and customer complaints, managing leaseholder enquiries and maintaining accurate asset information.
