About The Role

As GRAHAM continues to grow across the Midlands, we are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major construction projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments, with project values typically ranging from £20M to £100M.

You will be instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Coordination
    • Lead on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
    • Support planning and execution of key project milestones
    • Manage resources to maintain productivity and meet deadlines
    • Promote a collaborative and proactive site culture
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with GRAHAM's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
    • Monitor site activities to uphold workmanship and regulatory standards
    • Assist in implementing company procedures and best practices
  • Project Delivery & Reporting
    • Track progress against programme and budget
    • Provide regular updates to senior management
    • Support procurement and cost control with the commercial team
    • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams to maintain strong relationships
    • Attend site meetings and contribute to issue resolution and progress reporting
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience managing construction projects of similar scale and complexity
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
  • Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools
  • Commitment to health & safety, sustainability, and client satisfaction

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working on projects within the Midlands region
  • Background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
  • Familiarity with digital project management platforms (e.g. Asta Powerproject, CDEs)
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or large-scale developments
  • Knowledge of modern construction methods and sustainability practices
