About The Role
As GRAHAM continues to grow across the Midlands, we are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of major construction projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments, with project values typically ranging from £20M to £100M.
You will be instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Coordination
- Lead on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Support planning and execution of key project milestones
- Manage resources to maintain productivity and meet deadlines
- Promote a collaborative and proactive site culture
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with GRAHAM's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Monitor site activities to uphold workmanship and regulatory standards
- Assist in implementing company procedures and best practices
- Project Delivery & Reporting
- Track progress against programme and budget
- Provide regular updates to senior management
- Support procurement and cost control with the commercial team
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project goals
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams to maintain strong relationships
- Attend site meetings and contribute to issue resolution and progress reporting
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience managing construction projects of similar scale and complexity
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
- Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools
- Commitment to health & safety, sustainability, and client satisfaction
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working on projects within the Midlands region
- Background in Residential, Student Accommodation, or Commercial/Office developments
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)
- Familiarity with digital project management platforms (e.g. Asta Powerproject, CDEs)
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or large-scale developments
- Knowledge of modern construction methods and sustainability practices
