About The Role
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Site Manager to join our Building Division in Scotland, working on an exciting new student accommodation development in Glasgow. This is a key role with full responsibility for day‑to‑day site operations—ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in a major development that will make a lasting contribution to the city’s student living landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of the construction process, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Oversee daily operations to ensure the project is delivered on programme, within budget, and to required quality levels
- Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project schedules and cost plans
- Work closely with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and packages
- Uphold all site Health & Safety requirements, ensuring full compliance across the workforce
- Supervise and support subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient workflow and quality output
- Conduct regular site inspections to review progress, safety, and compliance with drawings and specifications
- Prepare clear and concise progress reports for senior management and client representatives
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support throughout the full construction lifecycle
Requirements
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
- Full UK driving licence
- Joinery background (desirable)
- M&E first fix knowledge (desirable)
Certifications
- Health & Safety Induction (incl. Management System)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSR / SafePass / CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
