We are looking for a number of proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineers to join our team on the multimillion-pound Clifton Hampden Bypass project in Didcot. This landmark infrastructure scheme will improve transport links, reduce congestion and deliver long-term benefits for local communities and businesses across the region. As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standards, supporting compliance with industry regulations, client requirements and project specifications at every stage of construction. Working as part of a collaborative project team, you'll help drive quality excellence, champion continuous improvement and contribute to the successful delivery of a project that will leave a lasting legacy for the area. The Quality Engineer shall:
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site
- Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors
- Coordinate all non-destructive testing on site
- Coordinate with the client's representative on all quality matters
- Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
- Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
- Participate in the site internal and external site audits
- Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built hand over to client
- Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action
- Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
- Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan
- Complete and coordinate the approval of the site's QC technical submittals to the customer
- Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues
- Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractor's QC personnel
- Elaborate inspection and test programme
- Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current

Personal Specification
Essential
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a quality-related role within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Experience with quality audits (internal and external).
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software/tools.
Desirable
- Hold relevant & recognised Quality Management qualifications
- Membership of a professional body
- Experience working on large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
