This role is critical to the successful planning, coordination and delivery of all Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) requirements across the project. The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination between operational teams, local authorities, clients, traffic management contractors, stakeholders and supply chain partners, ensuring traffic management activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with statutory requirements. The Temporary Traffic Co-Ordinator will be responsible for managing traffic management programmes, road space applications, licensing requirements, stakeholder engagement relating to traffic management, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and communication are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Co-ordinate all Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) requirements across the project with operations teams, the client TTM team, local authorities, office administration teams, traffic management subcontractors and stakeholder representatives. Manage and co-ordinate operational TTM requirements including: ?POV/T2 requirements for enabling works. ?Supply chain TTM activities. ?Static traffic management for main works. ?Road crossings, inspections, beam lifts and deliveries. ?Surfacing and white lining activities. ?Traffic signal and streetlighting works. ?Large deliveries and abnormal load movements. Obtain and review traffic management designs from TTM subcontractors and designers. Liaise with site management teams to ensure proposed traffic management arrangements are suitable for planned activities. Work alongside the Stakeholder Officer and Construction Manager to engage with fire services, landowners, local authorities and other key stakeholders. Update and revise traffic management requirements in line with traffic signal modifications, stakeholder consultations and operational requirements. Co-ordinate T2 road space applications, working collaboratively with operational teams, administration staff, stakeholder teams and traffic management suppliers. Obtain local authority and council approvals for traffic management activities. Organise and manage progress licences with local authorities. Secure National Transport Authority (NTA) and Client approvals for licence applications where required. Agree programme dates with operations teams and manage the overall traffic management programme. Maintain and manage the Traffic Management Tracker, ensuring all applications, consultations, stakeholder requirements and programme clashes are effectively monitored and resolved. Support traffic management procurement activities and subcontractor selection. Manage the performance of traffic management subcontractors, ensuring delivery against programme and quality expectations. Undertake traffic management inspections and monitoring activities to verify safety, quality and compliance standards. Close out completed traffic management applications and road space bookings. Manage traffic monitoring information and provide regular updates to the Client and Project Team. Required Skills & Experience Essential Previous experience in a Traffic Management, Highways, Utilities or Civil Engineering environment. Knowledge of temporary traffic management planning and coordination. Experience liaising with local authorities and statutory undertakers. Experience managing road space booking applications and permit processes. Strong organisational and programme management skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret traffic management drawings and programmes. Understanding of health, safety and quality requirements associated with roadworks and traffic management. Full driving licence. Desirable: TTM qualification and/or relevant traffic management accreditation. Experience working on major infrastructure or transport projects. Knowledge of BusConnects projects or similar urban transport schemes. Experience managing traffic management subcontractors.
