A permanent opportunity for a Tax Assistant is available at GRAHAM, which operates in a busy and varied tax environment. The Tax Assistant will support the Group Head of Tax and Tax Managers in day-to-day tax compliance and advisory activities across the Group's UK and ROI operations. The role offers exposure to a range of tax areas and the opportunity to develop technical and commercial knowledge within a supportive team environment.
- Support the review of temporary worker arrangements and related data gathering.
- Assist in reviewing subcontractor tax pre-qualification questionnaires.
- Provide support with external audits and statutory account disclosures.
- Gather and organise information for UK and ROI corporation tax computations.
- Assist with tracking quarterly corporation tax instalment payments.
- Assist the tax team in responding to tax-related queries across the Group.
The role provides on-the-job training across VAT, corporation tax and employment taxes, with exposure to both UK and ROI tax matters. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced tax professionals. Support will be provided for professional development, including working towards the ATT qualification where appropriate.
Person Specification
- Essential: Degree in accounting, finance or related discipline, or relevant experience.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Willingness to learn and develop a career in tax.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a finance or tax environment.
- VAT or broader tax experience.
- Working towards or interested in a professional tax qualification.
